Where will Lennon end up?

The transfer speculation has begun and a bid has been made, a bid has not been made, do we really have t go through this each window.

Where will Lennon end up?

Clubs talk, they discuss a deal, they discuss a transfer fee to get an idea of where each party is at, agents talk to clubs again getting ideas of what a club is prepared to pay and what the selling club is likely to sell for.

Tottenham want £7 million for Aaron Lennon, that figure has been in the public domain for months and it's a reasonable fee for him quite frankly. Now that Andros Townsend has grasped the fact that he must look for passes, although he has still to learn not to give the ball away on the half way line, he is ahead of Lennon in the pecking order. Townsend has a lot of potential, he has pace, he can shoot, he has more years ahead of him than Lennon so cashing in on our longest serving player will add to our transfer kitty.

He is the type of player a lot of clubs will be interested in, Stoke City, Leicester City, West Ham United and WBA are usual names bandied about when his name is mentioned along with Hull City and QPR. At 27 he will not be wanting to take a step down so I can't see him being rushed into a decision he doesn't really want to make.

There is a lot of nonsense spoken about Lennon by fans who will still be able to do an excellent job for another side. He puts the ball into an area, just as a traditional winger should, it's up to the centre-forward to get onto the end of it, not for a winger to pick out a pinpoint cross.

I'll be quite interested to see where he ends up, West Ham, Southampton, Everton or Liverpool perhaps unless he goes abroad.
