Torino dream of Adebayor

The Italians don't seem to live in the real world with consistent reports of day dreaming deals for players at half price. Nothing wrong with that but believing they stand some sort of chance of securing signings is absurd.

Italians dream over Adebayor

There isn't a hope that Tottenham will take a massive hit on a player so signing someone like Roberto Soldado for £11 million is fantasy, equally the half price offers for Erik Lamela in the summer and the constant makeweight of Fredy Guarin if the deal involves Inter Milan.

It's not Roma this time, it's not Napoli, it's Torino who believe it or not are interested in Emmanuel Adebayor. On his day he is a quality striker and if they could secure him cheaply it would be a good deal for them, however they seem to be unaware that the Togo captain is only interested in money.

They would like to sign him but can't pay him the wages he gets now and suggest if he takes a pay cut a deal could be done. If Adebayor takes a pay cut! Have they no idea he doesn't take pay cuts and has told Spurs he refuses to leave. It doesn't take a genius to work out why and it's got nothing to do with thin king he can benefit the side, given he is one of the players believing Pochettino's style does not work.

He has consistently demonstrated he doesn't have the right mentality and was on the wrong side of a power struggle, he hasn't played since citing voodoo and Kaboul has played once in midweek. Tottenham would be delighted to get shot of him but we would have to give him a big pay-off for him to leave, which reduces our transfer budget as it negates any fee we get for him.
