Spurs watch Lopes eat turkey
The rubbish stories concerning Miguel Lopes are back. During the summer journalists came up with this fantasy and now A Bola, a Portuguese newspaper, have regurgitated the story.
Miguel Lopes is a right-back, which we don't need, from Sporting (formerly Sporting Lisbon) who do not like us after we pinched Eric Dier for peanuts and is 29-year-old, so doesn't fir with our policy of buying youth and improving them.
Under the Pochettino system our right-back needs to have speed, as he must support attacks, overlap and still be able to sprint back. He has had a 7 minute substitute appearance and played just 2 other Portuguese league games, for the latest game he wasn't even in the squad, be hasn't played a game since 14th December 2014, not even a second team game.
