Despite Liverpool's best efforts he will not be joining them. Shaqiri can't get into the Bayern team because Arjen Robben is keeping him out so he wants guaranteed first-team football and Brendan Rogers can't guarantee that.
Summer signing but new arrival in January, DeAndre Yedlin, is training with Tottenham and will be wearing the number 12 shirt. He has NFL sprinting speed which is certainly going to allow him to get up and down the right flank. His crossing at the World Cup was good and he played in midfield as well as right-back so the American gives Pochettino options.
