The more Fazio's Spurs have the better

Federico Fazio lifted the UEFA Europa League last season and Tottenham signed him, not just for his defending ability, but because of the winning mentality he could bring to the club.

The more Fazio's Spurs have the better

Fazio is always stressing the need to improve and bringing up the mental side of the game, which can only help the development of the side. It is part and parcel of top level sport and a subject fans have never experienced. Once again he mentions having the right attitude when talking to the official website.

“It was our second game in two days but we finished strongly in the second half. We kept our line high, pressed more and tried to score the one goal to take the three points.
“We fought all the way and we have to keep this intensity, keep this belief and stay compact (defensively) like this. This attitude is important.”

He is captaincy material because he understands how success is achieved. You have to have total belief in what you are doing, total belief that it will work, not a hope, but a belief. If that belief develops into a passion and that's an easy process to manage, then you'll try even harder than you think you are capable of. A barrier is simply an obstacle to get over. Once you achieve it once you know it's possible and can achieve it again.

We showed for the first time in a while that we can compete with a top four club instead of folding. That was an important barrier to overcome and gives the squad a belief they can take into the Chelsea tie. The more players we have in the squad with Fazio's mental approach instead of Dembele's settle for what I've got approach or Paulinho's I'm too lazy to learn English approach, the better we will become.
