The rehabilitation of Erik Lamela is continuing. He was picked for the Argentinian squad for the re-match of the World Cup Final against Germany.

The International friendly was played at Esprit Arena, Düsseldorf and Erik Lamela was picked to play in the game. He did more than just play though, he scored a beautiful side foot volley from an Angel di Maria cross from the byline. From 12 yards out he places the ball past the worlds best goalkeeper Manuel Neuer with his left foot into the top right hand corner.

A superb finish from a player feeling confident in himself. It will do him a power of good to back in the Argentinian squad and to score a goal in his first game back for them.

This was the second goal to put Argentina 2-0 up before half-time. After 63 minutes the current score is Germany 1 (Schürrle 52) Argentina 4 (Agüero 20 Lamela 40 Fernández 47 Di María 50)
