Emmanuel Adebayor Performance Report

Another good performance from Emmanuel Adebayor which won't silence the doubters or those that want him sold. he fits the system we are playing and his link up play with the other three attackers is excellent. They are all changing positions and he is playing a successful part in that being involved with both goals.

The first was from his rebounded shot that Chadli scored, the second he passed to Chadli on the left for him to cross. It was a simple ball but he had time and space and could have tried to go on his own, which would have been the difficult option.

At the start he played a beautiful one two with Eriksen who lobbed the ball over the defence for him but his shot cannoned off the advancing goalkeeper, who knew nothing about it.

He whole performance was one of not standing out but blending with the others so you almost don't notice who is doing what. You don't have to catch the eye all the time to play well, you simply need to play your role, the role the coach wants you to play and he did that superbly, even after playing two games in Africa during the international break.
