Christian Eriksen Performance Report

Christian Eriksen was at the centre of our performance playing more passes than our defensive midfield pairing, whom you'd expect to play the most.

He of course was in the right place getting into the box when a deflected clearance fell kindly for him to scramble the ball into the net. He was able to tuck it away because he had attacked the 6 yard box, something that has been missing from our game since the days of Robbie Keane.

He brilliantly lifted the ball over the defence after only 5 minutes, playing a one two with Adebayor, only for his shot to hit the advancing keeper. That pass summed up his game, he was more inventive than we have seen around the box and was a constant threat to the Sunderland defence. It would be a toss up between him and Nacer Chadli who you'd award the Man of the Match to.

I could run through the game and pick out this pass, that pass, but the fact is this was this was one of his most creative performances in a Spurs shirt and that's all one really needs to say.

An excellent performance.
