Jan Vertonghen is wanted by Barcelona once again and it is suggested they will bid £17.5 million to get him. His agent, Mustapha Nakhli refused to commit his client to Tottenham next season.

"A few teams have called me. We’ll see"
Vertonghen himself has suggested his future is in doubt, then he has suggested he would be staying, no news of what he would suggest now!

According to German paper BILD, Tottenham are planning to make a bid for German midfielder Julian Draxler. Schalke value him at £40 million, Spurs will open the bidding at £17 million. He's not worth £40 million and Daniel Levy won't pay anywhere near it so he won't be arriving.

I listed the left-backs we were interested in an earlier article, The Left-back Candidate Fact Files. On that list was Ryan Bertrand. Tottenham are now reported to be talking to Chelsea about acquiring the 24 year-old Champions League winner.

Chelsea want £8 million for a player they consider not to be good enough and have turned down a £6 million bid for him.

Chelsea want Atlético Madrid left-back Filipe Luís but don't want to pay his £19 million release clause. If you Google Filipe Luís ad look to the right, it claims he already plays for Chelsea!

He is known to want to join Chelsea so Daniel Levy's offer of cash plus a player is unlikely to be successful. This activity has come about because another club, believed to be Liverpool, have bid an extra £2 million for Swansea left-back Ben Davies.

Tottenham bid £18 million for Wilfried Bony which Swansea turned down, they want £25 million. Reports suggests his representatives are in Liverpool discussing a potential move.

With Loïc Rémy in negotiation over wages, he wants £75,000 a week, striker options are becoming limited as I thought they might. QPR are believed now to be trying to convince him to stay at Loftus Road.
