10 Argentinians linked to Spurs is a round up of rumours and a very quick evaluation of the probability od each.

Are Tottenham on the brink of ruin is an article looking at youth development from child age and why the club needs a current first team squad 'Mr Tottenham' player to build club loyalty within the young.

Right let's get into the Tottenham News Shorts - Issue 11, recent news which concerns the USA, Luis Suárez, Adam Lallana, Goalkeepers, Emmanuel Emenike, Steven Caulker and Chelsea.

Let's start by talking soccer, well done to the USA or USMNT as they are apparently known stateside, who were superb at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

Managed of course by former Tottenham favourite Jürgen Klinsmann, they showed what could be achieved through sheer hard work, guts and determination, with a dose of skill thrown in. If only England had a tenth of their never say die attitude, they certainly showed our bunch to be merely fancy dans.

Michael Bradley was brilliant, when everyone was dead on ther feet he was still sprinting everywhere, 25 year-old Omar Gonzalez was a rock at the back, 26 year-old right-back Fabian Johnson had a brilliant tournament and his replacement, 20 year-old DeAndre Yedlin, will surely be offered a contract somewhere in Europe after his performance against Belgium.

Somebody could pick up a real bargain with Yedlin and turn him into a very decent footballer, certainly a player with profit potential, which is what clubs are increasingly looking for now.

Barcelona demanded Luis Suárez made an apology for biting Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini which he has duly done, Liverpool were in the dark it was going to happen which only fuels the rumours of his exit to Spain.

This follows his father saying he has done all he can do at Liverpool after responding to his last ban positively and would move to Barcelona this summer. Liverpool have agreed to open talks over the move which I predict will happen for £65 million (€81.71m).

Of course if that deal goes south Mattessons have made him a job offer through a full-page add in the Metro. He won't be out of work during what should have been a much longer ban, if not a jail sentence. Criminal behavour is apparently acceptable on a football field, usually it's from a referee though.

Talking of full-page ads, Adam Lallana has taken one out to goodbye to all the Southampton fans after spending 14 years at the club. Nice gesture Adam.

For all you World Cup fanatics, and I'm one too, Arsenal and Liverpool are said to be interested in Costa Rica goalkeeper Keylor Navas, mind you last week they were said the be interested in Mexico goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa.

What ever happened to the daft £15 million (€18.86m) for Cardiff City goalkeeper David Marshall. Too expensive I guess, hardly surprising when Hugo Lloris, a genuine world class keeper and French national captain, cost less than that.

I had to laugh, the Independent claim Chelsea could be set to make a £15 million (€18.86m) move for Nigeria’s 27-year-old World Cup striker Emmanuel Emenike after being offered him by Fenerbahce. Quite why Chelsea would want an unproven World Cup flop the wrong age is unknown. We have of course been linked with him ourselves for some reason, absolutely no chance of us signing him I'd say.

Crystal Palace are ready to make an £8m bid for 22 year-old Cardiff City defender Steven Caulker claim The Telegraph, which is handy because it is generally believed he has an £8 million (€10.06m) release clause in his contract!

Fortunately Spurs have first refusal as part of the deal that saw him leave for Wales in the first place. Cardiff still owe us money from his transfer and are in debt so Spurs have the upper hand over all the interested parties, of which their are plenty.

The Daily Express tell us that Filipe Luís has cut off all contact with Atlético Madrid as he attempts to force through a move to Chelsea. Sound like Modric all over again, not that I'm suggesting Chelsea have told him to act this way, certainly not, wouldn't think of it. Buying clubs just don't do that do they.
