Tony Parks has taken on a new role after leaving us when Mauricio Pochettino brought his own goalkeeping coach, Toni Jiménez,  with him. Parks has become the new goalkeeping coach at Norwich City and has already started working with the keepers. Congratulations Tony.

New Norwich boss Neil Adams was delighted to get the UEFA Cup winner (1984) on board.

“Tony is a vastly experienced coach who played at the highest level with Tottenham. I saw Tony work during his time at the FA and was very impressed with what I saw, and he will fill the hole left by Dave’s (Watson, moved to Southampton) departure perfectly.”

It is reported by Sky Sports that 27 year-old Edinson Cavani has asked his agent to look into a move to the Premier League.

With Liverpool just having sold his countryman Luis Suárez to Barcelona you can expect the news to build on Liverpool attempting to sign him from PSG. Manchester United and Chelsea are known to be interested and have the resources.

There was a delay three times to the medical of Benfica player Lazar Marković at Liverpool because the Portuguese club have demanded Liverpool pay the whole £19.88 million (€25m) in one payment with clauses or add-ons claim paper O Jogo.

He joins Rickie Lambert, Adam Lallana and Emre Can as the other summer arrivals at Anfield.

Newcastle United want to sign Manchester United winger Wilfried Zaha, who the Old Trafford club drastically over paid for when buying him from Crystal Palace for £20 million (€25.15m). The fee may be a sticking point with Newcastle looking for a deal around £7 million (€8.8m).

The prices in today's game are crazy, people are paying for what a player might do rather than what he has done. In the highest standard you have played at is the Championship then the sort of fee paid for Zaha, the player has to be quite exceptional and Zaha isn't.

He has struggled Old Trafford and been sent out on a Premier League loan. On 30th June the stories were I want to break into the first team after pre-season training (rather ambitious one would say) and yesterday it was Crystal Palace please buy me back.

Palace would be happy to take him on loan but United want to sell. They will have to take a hit on him to do so with Palace unlikely to want to pay any more than £10 million (€12.57m), if that.

Dynamo Moscow also want to make him their second summer signing from the Red Devils after signing Dutch full back Alex Buttner.

The move of Alberto Moreno to Liverpool is said to be imminent with managing director Ian Ayre set to fly out and finalise the £18 million (€22.63m) deal this week. Presumably that will take our suitor for Ben Davies away and leaving us free to decide who our first choice is Ben Davies or Ricardo Rodríguez.

Manchester United want competition for Luke Shaw and are chasing the 21 year-old sought after Swiss international.

For those of you who missed it the comparison between Davies and Rodríguez shows the Wolfsburg player to be a step up.

Chelsea's attempt to sign Paul Pogba from Juventus is set to fail with the players agent, Mino Raiola, telling Tuttosport that there are no negotiations.

"Paul to Chelsea? It’s just fantasy football. Everything is perfect at Juventus and no meetings are planned."

You never say never in football, especially as some clubs just throw money around like confetti, the fee Man Utd for Shaw is crazy as is the fee PSG gave Chelsea for David Luiz.
