If you have not caught up on the two goals from Harry Kane and Aaron Lennon take a look. Good to see Lennon's pace coming in handy.

Iago Falque seems to lack awareness of players around him to me and when in the final third chooses the wrong options, I wonder whether we will stick with him and Soldado doesn't look like hitting the back of the net from open play.

This tour was about confidence for two players Soldado and Lamela so certainly for one of the pair it has been a successful tour.

For Soldado pre-season goals are vital and we have had one from the penalty spot in three games, hopefully Celtic will see a change.

Right let's get into the Tottenham News Shorts - Issue 36, recent news which concerns Memphis Depay, Lamela, Soldado, Holtby & Eriksen on a plane, Harry Winks, Ben Alnwick, Vlad Chiriches, Antoine Griezmann and Michel Vorm.

Manchester United Plan to Beat Tottenham in Signing PSV Eindhoven Star Memphis Depay announce International Business Times UK, well what would be the point in planning NOT to beat Tottenham to the signing! Wouldn't be much of a plan would it.

In other stories Louis Van Gaal (Manchester |United manager) has advised the winger to stay in the Erifivisie for another season. All rather contradictory.

The Daily Mail came up with a strange angle for their story of an aeroplane selfie. This is the picture I brought you in Lamela tour in pictures continues. The first picture shows Roberto Soldado, Lewis Holtby, Christian Eriksen and Erik Lamela on a plane with food so the paper focus on the fact they haven't eaten their salad!

And you thought papers had reporters who dug out stories, no they pinch stuff from the Internet and bring it to you as exclusives and the like.

Tottenham Hotspur teenager Harry Winks has agreed his first professional contract according to reports on Sky Sports. He is an 18-year-old midfielder who has come through the Tottenham youth ranks and trained with the first-team squad last season first under Andre Villas Boas, then Tim Sherwood.

Sherwood, formerly running youth development at Spurs before being promoted as an interim head coach, named the England Under 18 international on the bench for Premier League and Europa League games.

The central midfielder has two England U18 caps scoring once and six U17 caps. He made four U21 appearances Tottenham scoring one goal and will be a regular in the Development Squad this season.

Peterborough United have signed 27 year-old former Tottenham goalkeeper Ben Alnwick on a three-year deal. He'll see a familiar face, they have just signed Ken McEvoy on a season long youth loan.

The Harlow Star tell us that Serie A giants Roma have been given the green light to sign defender Vlad Chiriches. Green light, we'll stop all traffic and give an escort to the airport. He struggled badly to adapt to the Premier League and is suited to a less physical and slower game. If we can recoup the fee we paid for him then we can look to bring in another centre-back.

Antoine Griezmann has reportedly agreed to join Atlético Madrid in a £24 million deal, the figure being his buy-out clause. As I wrote earlier he is talented but can be inconsistent and is a bit lightweight. Spanish football suits him better than the Premier League I feel so not sorry to have missed out on him, rather have Yevyen Konopolyanka from Dnipro.

In an interview with Voetbal International, Dutch international Michel Vorm revealed he sought advice from Rafael van der Vaart before agreeing his move to Tottenham.

“I spoke with many people about Tottenham, among others Rafael van der Vaart, who has played here himself. He only said positive things about the club.”
