Alex Pritchard bags a brace vs Nice

An entertaining game saw the score at 1-1 after just 4 minutes! Brentford went ahead after 1 minute and then 3 minutes later Nice equalised.

After a foul on Tony Craig, Pritchard stepped up to knock the subsequent free-kick into the bottom corner from 20 yards. He then grabbed a second when he followed up a saved Cardinal shot slotting home the rebound. Nice pulled one back before half-time as the sides went in with Brentford 3-2 up.

The game stayed that way until the end when Pritchard was given the match ball. He played behind the striker in an interchanging three, much the same way as Tottenham are playing under Mauricio Pochettino. That sort of role will be great for his development as he learns new skills, how to operate in different areas of the field, gets plenty of shooting chances and can hone his running off the ball and through passing.

He was the star of the show, not just for his goals but for producing some of the best attacking moves fr Brentford. An excellent start to his loan spell there.
