Spurs target Janmaat reiterates desire to move

Tottenham target 24 year-old Dutch right-back Daryl Janmaat has reiterated his desire to leave Feyenoord.



He has already turned down an improved offer from Feyenoord to keep him because he wishes to test himself at a higher level of football week in week out. Dutch clubs can't compete on wages with the major leagues so when a player wants to move it is extremely difficult for them to hold on to them.

"I want to play at high levels. I do not care where I'm going to play, the important thing for me will be joining a great team with players who will always give their best.

"Now, however, I do not think about the market. At this moment in my head there's only the World Cup."

Tottenham fans keen to run the rule over him at the World Cup in Brazil won't have long to wait. Holland's three Group B fixtures are:

Spain on Friday 13th June at 8pm screened on BBC1
Australia on Wednesday 18th June at 5pm screened on ITV1
Chile on Monday 23rd at 5pm screened on ITV1

The latest stories circulating however is that he will be moving to Napoli after the World Cup, although no personal terms have yet been agreed.
