Roma want Soldado

Another suitor has emerged for Roberto Soldado, Italian side Roma.

Roma want Soldado

Having joined Tottenham for £26 million last summer Soldado has had a miserable season initially in a system where he wasn't given the ball. It is hardly any wonder that he became frustrated and the pressure grew on him.

Tottenham are said to be willing to let him leave for £20 million but clubs will naturally be hoping to pick up a bargain. The Spanish international has allegedly having told his agent to get him out of White Hart Lane even if it means a big pay cut. A drop in wages would simply take him back to the wages he had at Valencia so that is not as big a deal as it would be for other players.

Having studies Pochettino's system I am not convinced that it would suit Soldado despite him clearly being a quality finisher. We may not get the chance to find out.

Roma were interested in him when he was at Valencia but his price tag put them off, now they sense a bargain sources reveal.

"The player's re-sale value has obviously dropped due to a poor season by his standards. However, Roma were were keen on him when he was at Valencia and nothing has changed their mind."
