Banega, Van der Vaart, Crouch, Morata

As reported earlier the month, Argentinian midfielder Éver Banega looks certain to join Marseilles from Valencia after the World Cup. Sunderland and Spurs were both interested in the 25 year-old but he'll be joining Pochettino's inspiration Marcelo Bielsa instead.

Banega, Van der Vaart, Crouch, MorataIn addition to wanting to sign Jake Livermore, Crystal Palace manager Tony Pulis wants 33 year-old Tottenham old boy Peter Crouch. Pulis of course managed him at Stoke City.

Another old boy Rafael van der Vaart is an ambitious target for Harry Redknapp at QPR. Now 31 and having escaped relegation with Hamburg by the skin of their teeth, Redknapp is hoping to fend off interest from Besiktas. He has indicated previously that he would stay at Hamburg but this is football so you never know. Harry hopes to sign him for a second time, this time for £3 million.

Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that Tottenham target Alvaro Morata can leave Real Madrid as he seeks a move to play the football he has been starved of at the Champions League winners this season.

"The player wants to look for an opportunity where he can play more and the club agrees with this.

"If he leaves it would be good that he would have the chance to play. If Morata goes we have to think about getting a young forward with the same characteristics."

With one year left on his contract Real Madrid want £24 million for him or £14 million with a 2 year buy-back clause at a set fee, which would make buying him improbable.
