AC Milan lost 2-0 to Roma on Friday and Balotelli who was substituted didn't take kindly to Sky Sport Italia pundit Giancarlo Marocchi's suggestion he was not a top player.

"You don't understand anything about football. Trust me, you really don't.

"It isn't nice? I don't care. I don't care.

"I never said I'm a top player. I am a perfectly normal player, it will take time to become world class, but the reasons why I am not a top player are not the same reasons you think."

The 23 year-old Italian striker is believed to be in danger of losing his place in the national squad with manager Cesare Prandelli also growing tired of him claim Italian papers Gazetta Sportiva and Corriere dellp Sport.

It is thought to be unlikely to happen but all his recent performances for Italy have been less than impressive so a squad place looks the best he can hopw for this summer in Brazil.

Baoltelli who was having a poor game argued with AC Milan coach Clarence Seedorf after he was substituted, not the first time that has happened. Given that he is troublesome and the Italian giants desire to get shot of him as quickly as possible, he may be available at a sensible price.
