Three points is a must

The Premier League season is hotting up to a close climax

Little movement is expected at the top of the table this week which instead of being a three horse race now is opening up again thanks to Liverpool's form. Tottenham have been clinging onto the coat tails thanks to their away from which is comfortably the best in the league.

1. Chelsea    P26 W17 D6 L3 F48 A21 GD+27 PTS 57
2. Arsenal    P26 W17 D5 L4 F48 A26 GD+22 PTS 56
3. Man City P25 W17 D3 L5 F68 A27 GD+41 PTS 54
4. Liverpool P26 W16 D5 L5 F66 A32 GD+34 PTS 53
5. SPURS   P26 W15 D5 L5 F36 A32 GD+4  PTS 50

Chelsea have the toughest tie at home to Everton but the fact it's at Stamford Bridge means they should prevail, Everton started well but have only managed 2 wins in their last 6 games and started to fall away.

Arsenal have been unconvincing in some of their home games but seem to pluck results out of the bag when they need to. You would expect them to have too much for a Sunderland side who have been in form since Christmas under former Spurs man Gus Poyet.

Man City are at home to Stoke where a resounding victory looks likely and Liverpool are also at home where they score freely on Sunday so defeating an out of form Swansea shouldn't be a problem. Liverpool have one of the easiest run-ins so overhauling them will be difficult and could depend on our two matches coming up.

The Spurs tie with Norwich on Sunday takes on extra importance with our two games coming up against Chelsea and Arsenal after the Cardiff tie. Our record against the top 4 this season is abject so three points at Norwich is a must.

Tottenham put in an excellent performance in their last game away at Newcastle thrashing them 4-0. Sherwood adopted a 4-1-4-1 approach to that game and has not been afraid to change formations. With Norwich usually lining up 4-4-2 whether Sherwood reverts to that system or continues with the successful formation against Newcastle we shall have to wait and see.

Erik Lamela and Vlad Chiriches are both out with bad backs whilst Sandro is trying to recover from a knock on Monday and Jermain Defoe has a hamstring problem.

Set for fitness tests are Mousa Dembélé after an ankle injury and Gylfi Sigurdsson after his thigh problem.
