Bamford VIDEO & an Argentinian in our sights

Following on from our earlier Scouting Report we take a look at further players linked with a move to Spurs this summer.

Tottenham are tracking a whole host of players just like all top clubs do and we have revealed some of those we are watching so let's have a look at a few more.

Chelsea have a young 20 year-old striker we are watching with a view to a summer move, his name may not be a household one right now but he is though to have a decent future ahead of him. The young man in question is Patrick Bamford.

He joined Chelsea in 2012 from Nottingham Forest and went out on loan to MK Dons. He scored 21 goals in 48 games and had now moved to high flying Championship side Derby County, now managed by former England boss Steve McClaren. In his first 7 games he has netted 5 goals.

The path at Chelsea is restricted but Spurs are seeking a young forward and reports suggest Tim Sherwood has him very near the top of his shopping list. Securing his signature won't be easy though as Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho also rates the youngster highly.

Another name in the frame is a 28 year-old Argentinian defender Gabriel Paletta. Currently plying his trade with Palma he was formerly at Liverpool in 2006/07 but only played three times. This season he has only made ten starts but is said to be interesting AC Milan and Roma in addition to Spurs.

Why are we being linked with the centre-back?

Well it might have something to do with Cesare Prandelli reportedly liking him and Prandelli being linked with taking over the Head Coach role at Spurs this summer. We'll expect more stories of this nature until after the World Cup. Let's hope Paletta can speak English!
