Odubajo - Right wing or right back

Leyton Orient winger Moses Odubajo is on our radar. Orient have had their best ever start to a season and sit on top of League One having dropped only 2 points in 9 games.

The 20 year-old has scored twice this season with a further 4 league assists. In all games (12) he has 7 assists.

He is also attracting the interest of Man U and Arsenal but speculation suggests we will try to secure a £1 million move in January for the dual nationality [England and Nigeria] player.

Moses Adeshina Ayoola Junior Odubajo to give him his full name, plays on the right wing but he can also play right-back. We know AVB likes to play with advanced full-backs leading many of our supporters to complain they are out of position a lot when they are in fact where AVB wants them.

Perhaps with his versatility AVB sees him as an ideal attack minded back-up to Kyle Walker who usually has more touches than any other player and often more touches in the opposition half than any other player for us.

Having someone comfortable on the ball and creative around the opposition box is therefore desirable in a potential full-back.

Of course AVB may be looking for someone to replace Aaron Lennon whose pace won't last forever and who seems to pick up a lot of injuries lately. Seven assists in only twelve games is a very healthy return, the next question will be can he reproduce that at a higher level.

Wherever we see his future we will face stiff competition for his signature should we decide to pursue our interest.
